Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information zer.ai processes when you visit the website, use a browser-based tool or contact support. It reflects the current product: no user accounts, payment processing or advertising network is enabled at the effective date. Google Analytics 4 is used on the production website as described below.

File contents

For supported tools, file conversion, compression, extraction, formatting and workflow steps run locally in your browser. File contents are not uploaded to zer.ai servers as part of that normal processing. zer.ai therefore does not keep a server copy and cannot recover a result after you close or refresh the page.

Some formats may be unsupported because local processing depends on browser features, device memory or bundled processing modules. A future feature that intentionally transfers or stores files will be identified before upload and this policy will be updated before that feature is released.

Information received when the site loads

The hosting and security infrastructure may receive standard request data such as IP address, user-agent, requested URL, referral information, date and time, response status and security events. This data is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose failures and maintain security. Retention depends on the configured hosting provider and should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.

Analytics

zer.ai uses Google Analytics 4 on the production website to understand aggregate usage, including page views, navigation between pages, tool selection, processing success or failure, result downloads, referral sources and general browser, device and approximate location information. Tool events may include a tool identifier, input and output format, file count, broad file-size and processing-time ranges, and a generalized error code. Google may process identifiers and technical data under its own terms. Analytics is not loaded during local development, and zer.ai does not send file names, file contents, text processed by its tools or local file paths to Google Analytics.

You can limit analytics through browser privacy controls, content blockers or any consent controls displayed by the website. The production deployment must add any notice or consent controls required by the laws that apply to its visitors.

Browser storage

zer.ai may use local browser storage to remember My Tools favorites, interface preferences and temporary workflow state. This information remains on the device unless the browser clears it. You can remove it through browser site-data settings. Current favorites are not synchronized to a zer.ai account.

Communications

If you email support, zer.ai receives the address, message and attachments you choose to send. Do not send confidential source files unless a non-sensitive sample cannot reproduce the problem and you are authorized to share it. Support messages are used to answer the request, investigate problems and maintain necessary records.

Purposes and legal grounds

Information is processed to provide requested site functions, protect the service, understand aggregate site usage, respond to communications and meet applicable legal obligations. zer.ai does not currently sell personal information or use file contents for advertising or analytics.

Service providers and international processing

Website hosting, domain, security and email providers may process limited technical or communication data on zer.ai's behalf. Their infrastructure may operate in more than one country. Appropriate provider terms and safeguards should be reviewed when production vendors and the operating legal entity are finalized.

Retention and security

Locally processed file contents are not retained by zer.ai. Technical logs and support messages should be retained only for operational, security and legal needs. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no website or email system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can clear local browser data, avoid sending support messages and stop using the service. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection regarding personal information zer.ai controls. Use the Contact page to submit a request; identity may need to be verified before action is taken.

Children

zer.ai is a general-purpose utility service and is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. Do not submit personal information about a child through support channels without appropriate authority.

Future product changes

Before enabling accounts, cloud storage, advertising, payment processing, cross-device synchronization or materially different analytics, zer.ai will update this policy and add any notice or consent controls required for that feature.
