Terms of Service

The rules, responsibilities and limitations that apply when using zer.ai browser-based file tools and workflows.

Effective date: August 19, 2026

These Terms govern access to zer.ai and its browser-based file tools, guides and workflows. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

zer.ai provides utilities for tasks including file conversion, compression, extraction, formatting and organization. Supported processing normally runs on the user's device. Features, supported formats, limits and availability may change as browser technology and the product evolve.

Your files and permissions

You retain rights in files and text you process. You must have the rights and permissions needed to use each input and create the requested output. zer.ai does not grant permission to process copyrighted, confidential, personal or regulated material belonging to someone else.

Keep backups of all important originals. Browser sessions are temporary, and zer.ai cannot recover locally processed files or outputs after the session ends.

Acceptable use

Do not use zer.ai to violate law or third-party rights; distribute malware; bypass access controls or technical protections; interfere with the service; probe for vulnerabilities without authorization; overload the site through automated requests; or process content you are not authorized to use.

Output responsibility

You are responsible for checking results before relying on them. Conversion can change quality, metadata, transparency, animation, subtitle styling, archive attributes or audio characteristics. A successful download does not establish that an output is accurate or suitable for a particular platform, legal filing, accessibility requirement or professional workflow.

Accounts and paid features

The current core tools do not require an account. zer.ai may later introduce optional accounts or paid features. Any price, renewal term, usage limit and cancellation rule will be displayed before purchase and governed by additional terms presented at that time.

Intellectual property

The zer.ai interface, original text, branding and site code are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party and open-source processing components remain subject to their respective licenses. These Terms do not transfer ownership of zer.ai or those components.

Availability and changes

The service may be modified, limited, suspended or discontinued. zer.ai does not promise that every format, codec, file profile, browser or device will work. Maintenance, browser changes and third-party component updates can affect availability.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, zer.ai is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free output, fitness for a particular purpose or preservation of every file property. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of zer.ai will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of data, revenue, business or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use the service. Applicable consumer protections and liabilities that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

The site may link to browsers, standards documentation or other services. zer.ai does not control third-party content, availability or privacy practices. Use of those services is governed by their own terms.

Suspension and termination

Access may be limited or terminated when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or third parties, or to respond to misuse or legal obligations. You may stop using zer.ai at any time.

Governing terms and changes

Mandatory laws in your location may apply regardless of these Terms. The governing-law and dispute provisions must be completed after the production operator and jurisdiction are finalized. Updated Terms will show a new effective date, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

Contact

Use the Contact page for questions about these Terms. The production operator's legal name, address, jurisdiction and contact details must be added and reviewed before public launch.
