SOURCE FORMAT

SVG

SVG describes graphics with scalable vector shapes instead of a fixed pixel grid. It is ideal for icons, diagrams and logos that must remain sharp at different sizes, while raster conversion creates a fixed-size image.

OUTPUT FORMAT

WebP

WebP is a modern web image format that supports lossy and lossless compression, transparency and animation. It can reduce download size while retaining strong visual quality in modern browsers.

About this tool

About SVG to WEBP

Turn a vector illustration into a WebP image

Add an SVG, choose WebP quality, process the image and download the result. Transparent areas remain transparent. WebP is a raster format: the exported image uses fixed pixel dimensions and cannot retain editable SVG paths or vector scaling.

Use self-contained SVG files with embedded assets. External fonts, linked images, scripts and animation may not render as expected. Check the preview and exported dimensions before replacing your original SVG. A damaged file or an SVG without usable dimensions may fail to decode.

Conversion runs locally in the browser. You can select up to 100 images, limited to 30 MB per file and 500 MB total. Batch results can be downloaded as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

SVG to WEBP FAQ

Will this remain a vector image?

No. WebP stores pixels, not editable SVG paths. Keep the original SVG for editing or scaling.
