Open OGG ConverterAbout this tool
Create an Ogg Vorbis copy of an MP3 when a player, game project or application specifically needs Vorbis audio. This is a real decode-and-encode conversion, not a filename change.
An .ogg extension alone does not identify every possible audio encoding. This tool writes Vorbis audio in an Ogg container. If the receiving system asks for Opus, this page is not an Opus encoder. Confirm the destination's requirement before converting a collection.
If the main requirement is broad MP3 playback instead, retain the original or use OGG to MP3 for the reverse direction.
The bundled OGG encoder uses its fixed Vorbis quality setting. This page does not provide a separate OGG bitrate slider, channel selector or sample-rate control. Output bytes depend on the source; the result is not guaranteed to be smaller than the MP3.
Both MP3 and Vorbis are lossy. A new OGG file cannot restore source detail, and another encoding generation can affect transients, high frequencies or background texture. Keep an original and compare a representative section by ear.
The first run may take longer while the browser loads the conversion engine. A .mp3 extension does not guarantee that a damaged or unusual file can be decoded.
The interface accepts up to 100 files, each under 150 MB, with a 500 MB combined limit. Processing is sequential. A failed item is reported while the rest can continue; only successful outputs appear in the download. Multiple results can be downloaded as ZIP or individual files, subject to browser download restrictions.
Compatible processing runs in the browser. The device must still have enough memory for decoded audio and the encoder, so smaller batches can help on a phone.
MP3 to M4A produces AAC audio in an MP4-family container, not Vorbis. MP3 to WAV provides an uncompressed working copy when required by an editor, without restoring lost quality. For arrangement and fades, download first and import manually into Audio Mixer.

Frequently asked questions
It encodes Vorbis audio inside an Ogg container, using the bundled encoder. It does not create Ogg Opus or merely rename an MP3.
The current OGG path uses a fixed Vorbis quality setting. It does not expose a separate OGG quality or bitrate control.
No. MP3 and Vorbis are lossy codecs. Transcoding may add loss and cannot reconstruct information already removed from the source.
Add up to 100 audio files, each under 150 MB and no more than 500 MB combined. Files run sequentially; failures are listed and remaining files continue. Download successful results as ZIP or individual files.
Use it when the destination specifically accepts Ogg Vorbis. Check the actual player or application; a requirement for Opus, AAC or M4A is not the same requirement.
Compatible conversion runs on the device. Loading the website and conversion engine requires a network connection, but normal processing does not upload the source audio to zer.ai.
