About this tool
About Archive Extractor
Open a compatible archive, review a summary of extracted entries and download those entries together as a new ZIP. Use this general entry when you receive different archive formats and need the same inspection-and-download flow.
The current result is an all-files ZIP
After extraction, the page lists names and sizes for up to eight files and shows how many additional entries were processed. It does not provide a navigable folder tree, file-selection checkboxes or separate download buttons for individual entries.
The download packages all extracted file entries as ZIP. If you only need one document, download that package and select the document using your trusted archive application. Do not confuse this flow with selectively extracting one entry in the browser.
Extraction steps
- Keep the original and add one compatible archive.
- Enter the correct password for a supported non-ZIP encrypted input when authorized.
- Start extraction and review the summary and file count.
- Download the ZIP containing the extracted files.
- Open it in a trusted application and verify paths and required files.
The interface enforces a 250 MB per-file limit. Decoding can require much more memory than that compressed size, so a smaller sample or another environment may be needed.
Format and password limits
The input lists ZIP, 7Z, RAR, TAR, TAR.GZ/TGZ and other compatible archive extensions. The archive's actual compression method and features determine whether it opens. An extension alone is not validation.
The .zip path does not implement encrypted-ZIP extraction. Non-ZIP formats can attempt the bundled engine's password support, but not every encrypted or split archive is supported. The interface accepts one file, not a multi-volume set, and cannot recover passwords or repair damaged data.
Extraction is not a safety check
The tool does not execute extracted files, but it is not a virus scanner. Review unexpected names, paths and file types before opening anything. Repacking into ZIP does not make malicious content harmless and does not guarantee preservation of archive-specific metadata or empty folders.
For ZIP-focused instructions, use ZIP Extractor. To choose a different output container, use Archive Converter. Compatible processing stays in the browser; loading the website and engine still uses the network.
